Groups have started this week and we are so excited!!! What a great opportunity to connect and put into action Christ’s love to one another!
With all of the excitement, something occurred to me. What about the one walking alone? The one that knows no one. I have been that person many times and it’s frightening! Not my comfort zone! Then I thought about the lady that really wants to sign up, but has the fear of rejection and has over-powered her desire to try one more time. I’ve been that person too…too many times.
I’ll be honest, rejection has one of the hardest blows I’ve ever felt. You can feel like a million bucks and then one look, one sentence, or one stair can sucker punch you out of nowhere. It leaves you feeling like your value is nothing. Rejection is something everyone has experienced to some degree, and yes, some more than others. Rejection is a thief. It wants nothing more than to steal your identity, relationships and God-given destiny. It cripples you and breaks you like no other. But ladies…there’s always a but!! God has accepted you! The word says that you are accepted in the beloved, you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, and that you have a friend that sticks closer than a brother – Jesus. I just want to challenge you if you haven’t signed up for a group, but really want to…do it! DO it afraid! Or if you have signed up, but have already prepared yourself to feel like the thumb in a room full of fingers….SPEAK the word over yourself and declare that you will be the best thumb you can be! Don’t let rejection from the past or fear of rejection hold you back from joining a group and finding your pack! God is awakening the lioness within you. The lioness that stands and fights. The lioness that recognizes her strength and beauty, even if no one else does.Your identity is in Christ!
One of the many things that stuck out to me from this first part of the study is that lionesses don’t hunt alone. They are better together and more productive together. We need each other! So be encouraged, you can do this! God is with you and there is a group of ladies waiting to walk this out with you.
“To all my lioness sisters….you are stunning. You were born for this moment. Don’t be afraid of your strength, questions, or insights. Awaken, rise up, and dare to realize all you were created to be.” – Lisa Bevere
