Isaiah 61:7 – “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”

This is one of God’s many promises to us. There is a direct correlation between this scripture and Isaiah 61:3:

“To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,

The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

The challenges and hardships of life impact us in so many ways. Very often we attempt to navigate through our situations without the help and power of the Holy Spirit. At best, the results are merely ashes. Pain, resentment, frustration, and sometimes unforgiveness.

On the outside, you may seem to have it altogether, but on the inside you’re hurting. Maybe your heart has been broken or someone has wounded you deeply. If so, God wants to pick up all of the broken pieces and make you whole again. He wants to give you beauty for ashes. He wants to remove the shame you may have from past mistakes.

God’s plan was sending Jesus to heal the brokenhearted. You are just the person Jesus came for.

As you learn to see yourself through God’s eyes, you’ll begin to sense the depth of His love for you—and the limitless beauty He’s placed within you. Let Him replace your emptiness and pain with His rich and deeply rooted love. Receive a double portion, your rightful inheritance, and everlasting joy! Receive it today!
